Thanks for another wonderful air show. I live in the Sacramento Area and traveling to the other end of the state was well worth it. What a great reminder of the power of our military! Every American needs to visit this great event as they will swell with pride! This was our 2nd year at the event and we plan to attend again next year. My 3 teenage sons absolutely love it! Thank you for hosting the Blue Angels! Dear Jennifer, I just want to say that the fireworks for the twilight show Saturday was the best I have seen any where in years. Well done to you and the whole crew at the air station. I have heard from others that attended about how professional all the Marines were. Who was the pilot-wizard who performed Saturday afternoon? I worked in flight test at EAFB, and watched this bird be born; I NEVER saw her do her stuff as she did under this man's command on Saturday! My Grounder-Pounder hat's off to him; can you share his name? Hi, Thanks for a GREAT show. I went Friday and Sunday. Only 362 days till we get to do it again! The weekend prior to your event, I saw the Blue Angels perform at Fleet Week in San Francisco. I found out that they would be flying again the following weekend at Miramar while I was in San Diego for vacation. I went to the Saturday show expecting to see a similar show that I saw in San Francisco. Thanks for a great time. We had no problem with parking, I felt it was well organized for the size of the event. The Marine personnel were very nice to me and my friends and I was and will always be proud of our military . you guy's are awesome. Thanks for all you do!!! A great air show, all you're personnel were very polite. the facilities were awesome, all very clean. our military people are great, thank you !!!! Randy & Friends The solo Hornet demo on Saturday was the best event of the day. Second best was the Osprey. It was a real nice show once again this year, looking forward to next year. Chris Patterson Azusa, CA To Whom It May Concern: My family and I would like to say that the air show was really nice... we greatly appreciate the men and women who serve our country to have our freedom... each and everyone of you are always in our prayers and we have lots of love and respects for all of you... May Our Good Lord continue to take care of all of us... We'll be back next year... Sincerely yours, The Lalangan and Jimenez Family We were at the Twilight show as well as the day show Saturday and I am compelled to let you know that the Fire Works show was the most awesome one that we have seen yet. It just gets better every year and you have completely outdone yourselves this year. We can't wait for next years show!!! Sincerely, The Dunham Family We attended the Saturday daytime show. It was absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to all who put this on. Many thanks for your help and thanks for a great Show. Chris Roux Pacific Palisades, CA What a tremendous show! Thank you MCAS Miramar! It's billed as an airshow but the show on the ground is also spectacular with so many plane and helicopter exhibits as well as the information booths and food. This was the first airshow for me in more than 30 years, but it was the first one we have had the pleasure of attending as a family. Our kids are 13, 10 and 6. They were excited before we came but they were on the edge of their seat for more than 7 hours while we were there. We loved the aerial displays and the special programs such as parachuting and extraction scenarios with helicopters whirring round the grandstand as M1 Abram tanks came rolling by. The real thanks goes first to God for giving us such a great country and its people and also to the performers, planners and ground crews (parking, protecting and policing). Praise God for the men, women and children who sacrificed their time and effort to allow our family the opportunity to see why we can be proud of our country and our military personnel. You've given us a memory that will not soon be forgotten. Sincerely, The Funk Family Orange County, California I came to the air show on Friday, as I have done for the past 5 years. After I walked through the main entrance, I was attacked by the usual mob of people handing out free things, whether caps, planes, promo items, and, as I walked by one of the booths, I looked briefly to my left and I noticed 5-6 elderly men, of African descent, dressed in their nice clothes with their service caps on and name tags. Out of the corner of my eye the word Tuskegee flashed. I turned around and walked back. the name tags did in fact say Tuskegee Airmen and then their names. I was overwhelmed with excitement. never in my days, being a young man of 39 did I ever expect to actually meet a Tuskegee pilot, but here were 5 of them. I shook their hands and told them how excited I was to meet them. No matter what else happens this day, this was my high for the day, maybe for the week if not longer. I do not know what they were doing at Miramar today, but I was happy to have been able to have shook their hands. My only regret: This was the only airshow that I had not brought a camera, too.
